In July 2008, PEDC published the first annual economic trends report for our community.
The PEDC created the report with the idea of developing a tool for business and civic leaders that provides context and perspective for current decisions, and future planning efforts.
The report looks at a number of areas including population, school enrollment, employment, commercial activity, and cost of living. Whenever possible, we compared Petersburg figures to those from other communities in the region, and across the state to provide a point of comparison for increases or decreases.
